ABOUT REPEATER COLLECTIVE:

REPEATER COLLECTIVE consists of artists creating events to bring art to the general public with little effort and in unusual and unexpected places. Formed by artists Rufus Filmer, Jack Sutherland and Hannah Weatherhead, our aim is to provide new platforms in which to display artworks (and ideas) without the usual constraints of art fairs and gallery spaces.

We seek to bring art to the general public through subtle events or actions, that can be repeated in various locations, such as pop-up style events. We each have experience participating in, and curating exhibitions and art events, and hope to bring emerging artists to fresh eyes through new and playful means.

WHEREVER I MAY ROAM is our first event; a roaming exhibition, displaying artworks on t-shirts worn by
REPEATER COLLECTIVE. Due to the high demand of physical exhibition spaces during the Bienniale, we have taken it upon ourselves, quite literally, to offer artists the chance to show their work in this Satellite event alongside the Whitstable Bienniale. This gives artists the chance to get their work seen by a new audience where they otherwise might not be able to (due to physical restrictions or otherwise). We are inviting artists and curating a collection of nine artworks to be shown on rotation throughout the one-day event during the Bienniale (Monday 6th June).

This event makes bringing art to the public simple, with each t-shirt displaying the work and the title of the event. The title, medium and year of each work will be listed with the event details on print outs, and 'visitors' wandering throughout the seafront and town, will be offered these fold-out printed posters entailing the full list of artists' works involved.
